About HookMann Services
Person-centered support for adults with developmental disabilities and their families throughout Southern California.
Who We Are
HookMann Services is a Southern California support services organization dedicated to empowering adults with developmental disabilities and their families. We provide individualized, person-centered services that help individuals live with greater independence, dignity, and meaningful connection to their communities.
Our services include Coordinated Family Support (CFS), Independent Living Services (ILS), and Supported Living Services (SLS) — each designed to meet individuals where they are and support them toward their personal goals.
Purpose & Direction
Our Mission
At HookMann Services, support means more than showing up—it means understanding what matters to each person and helping turn their goals into everyday progress. Whether we're helping a family coordinate resources, supporting someone in building independent living skills, or providing hands-on support in their own home, we meet people where they are and work alongside them toward the life they want to live.
Our Approach
At HookMann Services, we believe meaningful support begins with listening. We take the time to understand what matters to each individual and family, what is working, where challenges exist, and what they want to accomplish. From there, we focus on practical solutions and clear next steps—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
We stay engaged throughout the process, working alongside individuals, families, Regional Center teams, service providers, and community partners to help coordinate supports, overcome barriers, and keep goals moving forward. As circumstances change, we adjust our approach so the support continues to make sense for the person and their life.
Our Commitment
Our commitment is reflected in how we listen, communicate, follow through, and support each person in moving toward the life they choose.
Dignity & Respect
We listen, communicate openly, and treat every individual with respect—recognizing their voice, experiences, preferences, and right to be heard.
Person-Centered Planning
Support begins with what matters to the individual. We build around their goals, strengths, preferences, and vision for the life they want to live.
Independence & Choice
We encourage individuals to make informed choices, build confidence, develop skills, and take an active role in decisions that affect their everyday lives.
Family Collaboration
Families and caregivers bring valuable knowledge and experience. When appropriate, we work together to strengthen support, address concerns, and plan for changing needs.
Community Inclusion
We help individuals build meaningful relationships, explore interests, access community resources, and participate in the places and activities that matter to them.
Dependable Support
We believe trust is built through follow-through. Individuals and families can count on us to communicate, stay engaged, and respond when needs or circumstances change.
